Holiday Card "round up" at EMTannerdesigns!

ok, so it's been a while since i have blogged...but we are so so incredibly busy it's nuts! i got home from work at 4am the past 2 nights...sooo needless to say blogging has fallen by the wayside...BUT one of my favorite parts of Christmas is getting cards...i cant even throw them out when it's over...well, at least the ones w/photos on them=)....soooo we are at work all day everyday and laura and i were thinking about how we would think our clients send some AMAZING holiday cards and WE WANT TO SEE EM'...LOL! Yes, we get pathetically excited when there is "fun mail" in the work mailbox....so we are gonna send our favorite 50 gift certificates that can be redeemed in 2009...all you have to do is drop us your creative card and we will pick our top 50 and post them...sounds like fun doesnt it? we hope your up for the challenge bc shipping labels, colorful plates and tees are starting to get a little monotonous (sp?..oh well=)...sooo with that explained....START SENDIN' THEM OUR WAY:

The innovative cart escalator

Once again any out of work camera men should contact us. Reality TV show is in the making and today could have been the premier....

Well, we just about died on the cart escalator at Ikea! We finally made it out of there with 3, yes 3 carts of stuff packed to the gills. We had to get one of the workers there to help us to the car. Just to set the scene, the worker was Latino and did not speak English but I do believe he understood most of what we said. So we all get on the escalator I was in front, Laura next and the guy behind. About a third of the way down all kinds of stuff falls off of the bottom of my cart and wedges under the wheel. I kept asking Laura what to do and she was just like "put the things back or pick up the front and roll it off"!! Anyway, that didn't work so when the cart gets to the bottom it gets stuck on the floor and won't move... so guess what... cart pile up. Laura ran into my cart and had to ram it to get it unstuck. In the meantime, I look back at the guy helping us and he has this "Oh crap" look on his face and has to run backwards in place to keep from pinning Laura between the carts. So finally Laura gets my cart out of the way and hers still won't move. My purse somehow made its way between her front wheel and the floor. Leather is a pretty good gripper! Anyway, as you can tell we did survive and are back in the car headed toward Tennessee.

...sooo long time NO blogging...and soooo much to blog about just cant find time...REALLY....laura and i were working about 18 hour days ...no exaggeration whatsoever!...the hubby left town for TWO WEEKS--4 kids starting school (2 preKers, second grader and fourth grader...AHHHHHH)...thank the good lord for "nana" at times like these! Needless to say this thing we call "emtannerdesigns" is gettin' NUTSO...outgrowing the house, the manufacturers corner they so graciously have let me inhabit the past year!....sooooo wasnt sure what to do and low and behold a warehouse nearly 3000 square feet just fell into my lap!! AND it is getting a TOTAL facelift and gonna be like brand new in a few weeks! I am probably about a week or two away from starting production at my OWN REAL PLACE every day HOPEFULLY from 9-5 w/a few new employees (already have one newbie trained and workin')!!! This is literally a dream come true! i can get my house back, my family time back, have some sort of a life outside my crazily growing biz that i cant leave bc it is

EVERYWHERE i am!=)=)=)! I hope i am seeing the light!!! Ill post pics of the PLACE "emtannerdesigns" as soon as i can find them on my camera...it is starting to look like my kinda place...the walls were painted this weekend a great apple green w/white ceilings, windows, doors, etc....and the best part---shi*tons of PEG BOARD walls!!!! SWWWEEEETTT! more soon.

Back to the grind....

okay, i am sure there are plenty of peeps cursing me wondering where the heck i am....sorry but our yearly family beach vacation was this past week and because i have spent my last year (well 2 years) serving all my great loyal customers....my family deserved me this week=)...really i do get wrapped up in this growing biz sometimes too much and it was their turn....i worked non stop till 5:30 am the 3 nights before leaving and did all that i possibly could and just had to stop, pack and leave....now i am back and will pick right back where i left off and i do apologize to any who have been hunting me down but our beachhouse has spotty wireless connections and by mid week NO WIRELESS CONNECTION (not always such a bad thing but it does drive me batty=)....soooo we met up w/ a fellow photographer i met at my last rosemary beach trunk show at Gigi's and she shot our family as i am NEVER in any of our family pics bc i am always "behind the lens"....which yes i do prefer but i also want the kiddos to believe me that i did go on vacation w/them all these years....anyway, she is great and one of my favorite photographers out there (she and sheye rosemeyer are at the top of my lists!)....here is the link to our sneak peek...just thought i'd share:

Matt had Henry (my momma's boy...laughing and giving him "knucks" in a matter of minutes!!)...you wont be disappointed....I am sooo hoping she'll share some of her darling funky t pics for a plug or 2 bc i dont have time to get them anymore and the one she posted here is absolute perfection in my funky world=)! Many many more beach posts to come from my own memory card that i am loving too (MOM)! gotta sleep so i can get back to work asap in the morning.....

Have a couple cool "projects" in the works w/Trista sooooo stay tuned to see what is up w/America's FAVORITE bachelorette! summer fun...

i saw the bubble chasing one coming and bolted for the camera! ...Love it ....i got EXACTLY what i was "seeing"...oh how i miss my photo time....! Lu and cousin "Chlo" are quite the artists--and yes, i am 99.9% sure graffitists is not a word...=)it worked at 3am..ha! more summer fun hopefully coming soon bc there are sooooo many cute ones!
