It's SUPERNANA!...

before i get to the point of this blog....i must include my "shopping guide" for the BEST classic baby gift ever!! The oversized blah blah dolls...available LOCALLY at our favorite hip boutique The White Balloon...these humongo ones just "make" the room! henry & hildy LOOOOVE sleeping w/them and how cute will they be in their college dorm rooms?? seriously, these are classics that people will cherish forever i think! All i am ever gonna do for baby gifts....i normally get the medium one for baby gifts..she has mermaids, dogs, etc...look no further for that classic gift...and you can just swing by the gallery and pick it up...avoid all those crazy internet shopping shipping fees! I crack myself up...i am acting like i am Oprah...emtanner's top 10 baby shower products...ha! what a dork!

okay, so the babies were in their cribs w/the godawful crib tents that were ripped to shreds when we left to go to the beach....this is what is awaiting the little brats when they get home for their 3rd birthday from nana and pawpaw...their big boy and girl bedrooms..ha! Supernana went to work! LOVE IT! added that funky little twist to get my attention....we all know it CANT be "pretty" in my house....it has to be "fun" w/a touch of "funk"! Kris says it looks like we live in a kindergarten room because everywhere is so colorful and happy! Not sure ill ever have "grown up" taste per se...but that's okay i suppose! Oh, okay crashing i am soooo tired from shipping all day (big bulky stuff alone...having to hold one part of the box between my legs and try to slide on the top..nightmare...felt like i was on candid camera...cussing like a sailor too...but southern women dont curse right?)...anyway, what i was going to say was (see the pic of the WONDERFUL shelving unit w/ good ole' martha's metal bins in it for the babies clothes...well, supernana carried it up 2 flights of steep, old steps to get it in there...YES, BY HERSELF! go figure....i remember in college when Carly & I were moving ...we pulled up to the apartment i was moving out of only to catch a glimpse of Barb (aka supernana) at the top of the steps holding a loveseat strait up above her head...balancing it as she walked down the steps...super human things she does...really, ask all my college roomies...it happens quite often...! okay, so the room is GREAT...just wanted to share because it was clean so i took some pics...YES...you know why it was clean?! Supernana was here all day picking up for the cleaning lady who comes on thursdays! ha. I am so lucky arent i? everyone needs a supernana! i love my mommy.

Lunchbox Central...

welcome to the em tannerdesigns "sweat shop"...little did i know my crazy lunchboxes would be this popular! the boxes are full too! even w/a knockoff version out there they are still going strong...ha! Why does everyone want their stuff to look like someone else's??? I am soooo not gettin' it....i want mine to NOT look like everyone else's --that's what makes it work...people...start using your OWN ideas not mine or some other designers! Think outside the box--they'll come to you...but not until you decide to do it by YOURSELF...okay, off the soapbox now. Now i just have to figure out where to ship them all...YIKES! This stuff is gettin' craaazzzyyy! good night!

I did it!...

Hadly has NEVER had bangs...so i had no clue how it would look...yesterday Kristine suggested taking the Kids to Kids fun cuts and having bangs cut to cover the godawful job she did....normally i would debate and debate...but i just went for it (heck it couldnt possibly get any worse!ha.)...of course i had all 4 kids and there was an hour wait...soooo i took them next door to salsaritas where we managed to spill 4 RED fountain drinks! I left there in a sweat..soooo i think that is why i didnt dwell on what i was doing too much...oh and henry had on undies and he crapped in them at the hair place....it was great! and Kris was gone (of course) so no break after all this..and Haydn had 100 page book (summer reading..ha) to finish when we got home at 7:45...oh well, the story of my life..anyway, i think she looks super cute..I might even like it better...anyway, i am just proud of myself for doing something so drastic with little or no thought...just not like my normal high strung self!

The Boys...

Of course just now getting to this and it's about...hmmm...3 months later...me and all my college girlies got together w/our little ones...sooo fun to see my close friends kids! Soooo strange how you see things that are just little mini copies of your friends...I guess since i was the first to have kids, my friends are just now starting to have theirs...sooo neat to see who they look like, who they act like, etc! Just loved this little pic...Jake winking-hysterical...he's such a funny little tyke--for some reason i pegged Jenn to have these little shy and timid girls---jokes on me--he is a rounder like Henry! Walt, Jake and Henry (ooh all of those are such cute "stud"ly names arent they?)....little boys just melt my heart!!! Unfortuneately we all dont get them all together that much but i hope we are able to always keep them close...makes is so much more special to have play dates w/your very best friends!!!

WOO HOO!...

Had is a big 1st grader and Haydn is starting 3rd...WOW! It has flown by--sooo depressing but they do get more fun in different ways during the phases. It was DEFINITELY time for the Tanner kiddos! Bored, fighting, ahhhh...couldn't take another minute of it! Hopefully they had a great day and love their teachers! We'll see...next goal is to get the twins potty trained so each morning i can drop them off w/the big kids! WOO HOO won't be the expression i'd use for that day...that one will be more like a "Praise good from whom all blessings flow" as my mom always bellows out! ha! Cross your fingers! ...and offer tips if you have any...very desperate situation this is!

Hildy Lou...

This is one of my hildy faves so far! Her little eyes just look so sweet! And of course my "emtanner" vintage twist adds some zest to it..ha! ooh, that sounded vain huh? Just wanted to share this pic of my little girlie! Not too much to report ...having the day from hell...trying to work w/4 kids..looked up and the twins were painting w/toothpaste...uhhhh...why do my kids do this CRAP!?

OOOOOHHHH It's Hadly Montana!

Sooooooo NOT FUNNY YET! I know everyone who sees this is dying laughing but i can ASSURE YOU I AM NOT! She did this one other time and I remember i was soooo mean about it that even Jill was like "okay it's over give it a rest" and she would get mad about this stuff too! ...soooo you'd think the kid wouldnt do it again! After the fact, mom recalled Hadly saying she was gonna be Hannah Montana for halloween and mom said, "oh I'll get you a wig"...Hadly replied.."oh nana, i dont need a wig....we can just use my hair"....sooooo after a long night of trying to figure out what the heck she was thinking we have come to the conclusion that these are supposed to be Hannah Montana's blunt bangs! Hadly still claims Henry pulled her hair out! I mean she isnt gonna be cute to start first grade....anyone w/remedy ideas to salvage this "do" please Help! desperate and we all know i am a creative person and i cant come up w/any solution for this one! The only bright side to this i can find is that (which i am shocked bc my girls lock themselves in the bathroom and play beauty shop) i dont have a Hildy Montana too....I would have flown off the handle for sure! And the saga continues...."WILL I SURVIVE?"...

everyone knows i love bubblegum pink....(not raspberry)-very particular about my pinks! Normally NOT a fan of digital tinting but thought this was sooooo much fun! Working on lots more mimi & reagan (yes, the funky t girls) proofs....lots more cute ones to come...just love this one of Mimi (i think it's mimi...ha!)...Doesnt it look YUMMY...that is the nastiest stuff out there...M&R even picked all the bubblegum out...but it sure made a cute photograph! That's all that matters in Em's eyes..ha! more soon.

Some Lil' Cuties!

Just love these pics...Little Chloe Jane & Cash Oliver...just had fun taking pics for these 2 little tykes and thought they turned out cute....oh and used this one on Cash's announcement...have gotten lots of compliments...i was super happy w/how it tuned out! Not to mention it cost Suz $1.01 each to mail...oh well, the beauty of em's "the bigger the better" design mind! ha. I guess if you can pay someone to design it you gotta be able to afford the postage...my mental philosophy..ha! I send them too and my christmas card regulars keep coming back...so i suppose it's worth it!

It's been a while....

Not much time to "blog" w/4 kids home all summer! ha. Have TONS of pics to share from the beach but it will take me ages to get them all proofed and up...but i will share! Here are some "goodies" from our trip in July...Had a great, relaxing vacay this year! Stayed out of the "chaos"...in little quiet seagrove! LOVED IT! Probably wont stay anywhere else! Rented a house w/pool and really just vegged for 10 days! Well, i did take my laptop but did limit myself! I'm sure all the funny stories will come to me...just not at 1:27am! ha. Just got my humongo printer filled up w/it's gizillion dollar ink tanks and have been sittin here ever since printing, printing, printing...soooo fun to have your own little lab! just not enough walls! ha. Surviving the last few days of summer....and i mean that literally...S-U-R-V-I-V-I-N-G!...Kris travelling, we have all 6 had the stomach bug for the past week and the power was out today for a good 2.5 hours...hot as H-E double L in here! It's time! I think i hear the thackston school bell ringing as we speak!!! More soon!
